History
Founded in 1926 by Ernest Tiede and Robert Zoeller, Tiede-Zoeller Inc. became a partnership of two tradesmen who shared the same philosophy and passion for construction. Primarily focused on high-end residential projects in all facets of flooring, the two gentlemen soon set their sights on an emerging commercial flooring business. As master craftsmen in their own right, they both shared the same mindset of providing quality craftsmanship to all its customers, at fair prices.
As the industry grew and changed, Tiede-Zoeller learned to adapt as well, focusing primarily on the flooring industry. By 1945 Tiede-Zoeller had become recognized as one of the largest and well - known flooring companies in all of New York State. In 1950, the growth and success continued on and Tiede-Zoeller expanded into commercial concrete work. Soon thereafter, they took interest in terrazzo flooring, and opened American Terrazzo Co. The next 50 years were spent maintaining a legacy of excellence and by the 1970’s, Tiede Zoeller fully absorbed American Terrazzo Co., becoming Tiede-Zoeller Tile Inc, Co.
In 2003, Dan Hull, a well - known and respected flooring expert and an employee of Tiede Zoeller since the mid 80’s, took interest and was offered ownership with a managing partner, continuing the storied tradition. Tiede-Zoeller became Tiede-Zoeller Tile Corp.

Dan has over 40 years of industry experience. Starting out as a Mechanic in the field, Dan learned early on the importance of relationships. As he worked his way up to Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, Vice President and eventually Owner, one thing has never changed, his ability to develop and maintain relationships that have lasted through the decades. As Owner and CEO, Dan continues to strive to keep our customers happy and field operations running with a high level of efficiency. Dan's love for being out in the field as Project Manager keeps the line between employee and owner open, a great benefit to all.
Kent Randle
President / Owner
Kent has over 20 years of experience in the tile, terrazzo and masonry industry. Kent's philosophy is one of autonomy and he strives to give his employee's the best resources and knowledge to take with them to each job. Kent's specialty lies in that of Terrazzo Flooring. He is a master of the trade and shares that knowledge with his employees. Kent currently sits on the board of the NTMA – Technical Committee as well as The Contractor's Association. As President, Kent continues to be innovative and keeps Tiede Zoeller Tile Corp viable and always looking toward the future.
Today, the core family values continue to prosper under Dan Hull and Kent Randle. Their experience, knowledge, commitment and passion for success have made Tiede Zoeller Tile Corp the #1 flooring installation company in Western NY.
